Dr. Jeffrey Levy is a physician, educator, entrepreneur, inventor and an internationally recognized expert in e-Learning. He is a co-founder and Interim Executive Director for the Institute for Surgical Excellence. He is also the Founder and CEO of CaseNetwork, which advances skills in clinical care and self-care by delivering innovative healthcare education and evidence-based solutions on the most advanced technology platforms. Dr. Levy has been in the forefront of innovations in medical education for three decades. His accomplishments include developing over 600 interactive online case presentations, the first five CD-ROMs/DVDs in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the first online positive psychology programs, the first mobile device delivered simulated patient encounters, the world’s first functioning virtual reality surgical simulator, and dozens of other online physician and patient educational tools. Through his award-winning programs, Dr. Levy has educated over 400,000 healthcare providers and reached 5 million individuals seeking mental health care. His work has been featured in TIME Magazine, Newsweek, O Magazine, Ladie’s Home Journal, Fitness Magazine, MSNBC, ABC, Fox, NPR, USA Today, The Sunday Times, and over 100 newspapers across the United States.
Dr. Levy has also served as the Medical Director of Education and Technology Initiatives for the University of Pennsylvania Health System where his responsibilities included development of computerized physician and patient education systems. His other academic roles have included Associate Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Director of Resident Education and Medical Student Education at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.
Dr. Levy has presented over 100 national and international lectures, has authored numerous abstracts and scientific papers, co-authored a book entitled CoreWellness: A Physician Wellness Program, and has developed several patents and inventions. He received his M.D. degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia Medical School and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. He had a clinical practice in Obstetrics and Gynecology for fourteen years.
